Why I Took a Short Break From Substack
And what lies ahead for The Possible Path
I have been silent here for a month. Every EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) session this summer has been intense. I cleared some generational trauma. I am currently working on healing my inner child, the young part of me who endured so much at such a young age. I am emotional and frequently weepy, which is an improvement from being numb.
I am completely exhausted mentally and physically. Yet, I feel more peace than ever. It’s a strange dichotomy. The peace helps me approach each EMDR on Tuesdays at 7 pm with anticipation. Although the fatigue from that type of therapy is real, the peace is worth the price. I am no longer afraid of feeling sad or scared. And that is a huge improvement.
I am working on new content that will include articles featuring interviews with experts on trauma recovery and mental health issues, as well as stories from people in recovery. I plan to regularly share these articles to provide useful information and inspiration. If you would like to share your story, let me know. I aim to use my journalistic skills to inform and inspire those of you who have survived trauma and/or deal with mental health issues.
I hope you all have a great weekend!

I feel ya. These days are tough - when we're doing the hard emotional work - to stay up on content. Been there done that so often, I wonder at times why anyone is still following me. Hang in there - do what you do.
Completely understand!
